Wayside Cross Slab

Brockagh

This cross slab is probably one of the least known antiquities at Glendalough. It is hidden behind a large road sign, on a narrow strip of land between the R757 to Glendalough and the R756 to Hollywood (Wicklow Gap). The slab, which is located in Brockagh townland, bears a latin cross on the south side and a smaller latin cross in false relief in the lower left quarter. Worth viewing, but take care, keep a look out for traffic, it's a dangerous spot.
